COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER
WHAT IS A COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER (CMHC)?
It is a center that provides psychosocial support services to patients with severe mental disorders, provides follow-up and treatment of patients, and provides home follow-up, treatment and patient-family education when necessary.It is not an inpatient treatment center and does not address any psychiatric disorders.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM TRSM SERVICES?
Individuals who have been previously hospitalized or are at risk of being hospitalized, who need treatment and psychosocial support due to psychosis or other severe mental disorders, or whose functionality has been seriously reduced due to severe mental disorders, are accepted by CMHC for treatment.
SERVICES PROVIDED IN TRSM:
psychological therapy
Psychological support for patient families
Monitoring compliance with drug treatments
Making home visits to patients who cannot come to the center and continuing home care and treatment when necessary.
Rehabilitation activities for patients:
- * Interaction group (good morning meetings, social events, social skills training group)
- * Social skill group
- * Family group (involving families in social events, family education groups)
- * Occupational therapy (workshops; drama, music, painting, crafts, etc.)
- * Vocational training (EKPSS, Public Education Courses, İŞKUR)
- * Art therapy (drama, music, painting)
- * Home and workplace visit
