HISTORY
The attempt to build a hospital in Çarşamba was initiated by the then Minister of Health, Mehmet AYDIN, in 1983, under the leadership of Çarşamba Health Center Construction and Survival Association.
The hospital, planned to have 100 beds, was put into service in 1986 with eight services, three operating rooms, a coronary unit and an intensive care unit. Due to the need, a tender for the construction of an additional building was made in 1994, it was completed in 2000 and it was registered and served with a capacity of 150 beds according to the standard staff regulation. The old building of Çarşamba State Hospital, which has been in service since 1986, has now completed its economic life; To provide more qualified health services to our people; Our Yeni Çarşamba State Hospital with 300 beds, serving on an area of 40 thousand m2, has started to serve as of 11.02.2019.
